Leader Job Description

All Leaders must attend at least 6 committee meetings and 2 council meetings per year.

Role Job DescriptionMonthly Commitment
Cubmaster• Help plan and carry out the Pack program with the help of the Pack Committee.
• Serve as the master of ceremonies at the monthly Pack meetings.
• Attend the District monthly roundtable, Pack committee meetings, and Pack meetings.
10 hours per month
Assistant Cubmaster• Assist and fills in for the Cubmaster.
• Attend the Pack committee meetings and Pack meetings.
10 hours per month

Committee Chair
• Prepare the agenda and preside at all Pack Committee meetings.
• Conduct Fall planning meeting to develop a school year calendar of the Pack’s events
• Complete the annual Pack Charter renewal in compliance with District guidelines
• Serve as primary contact with Friends Christian school.
• Attend the District monthly roundtable, Pack committee meetings, and Pack meetings.
• Secure adult leaders and volunteers for events, track volunteer hours.
10-15 hours per month
Den Leader• Plan and conduct Den meetings with the Assistant Den Leader and parents to ensure that the Den is working toward the next rank, thriving and having fun.
• Attend the Pack committee meetings, and Pack meetings.
• Lead the Den at the monthly pack activity.

Assistant Den Leader• Assist and back up the Den Leader5-10 hours per month
Treasurer• Keep all records for the Pack, including Pack bank account, financial records, etc.
• Attend monthly Pack committee meetings to advise on financial status and budget.
• Manage revenues, expenses and reimbursements
5-6 hours per month
Webmaster/Assistant• Manage all Pack communications via website, calendar, evites, etc.
• Maintain contact information for committee and scouts
3 hours per month
Advancement • Using Scoutbook to track Den’s progress
• Purchase, organize, and distribute awards
3-4 hours per month
Membership• Maintain accurate records of all youth and leaders in ScoutBook.com
• Makes sure everyone is registered with the BSA.
• Conduct recruitment efforts during the fall membership drive, Open Houses, Back To School night
6 hours per month
Pack Secretary• Keep minutes
• Attend committee meeting.
• Draft and email the monthly pack newsletter
3-5 hours per month
Youth Protection• Review leaders YPT status
• Email leaders who need to complete
1 hour per month
Committee Member• Attend monthly meetings
• Vote on business pertaining to the Pack
3 hours per month
